1. Website Design Mistakes

Do You Have an Ugly Baby?

Website Design Mistake - No Table

I recently did a critique of a website for a peer. Their website
content was good; their market was focused BUT the presentation
was lacking.

OK,, it was downright ugly. You can't tell someone their "baby" is
ugly. :o)

So I tactfully suggested that the content would be presented better
if they would simply use a table to define their website.

If you don't put your content in a table it will spread across the
screen. I can tell that an amateur designed the website if they
didn't incorporate a tables in their website design.

NOTE: I will be starting a class on Website Design starting 2/19/08.
This is an 8 week class for the beginner web designer or Internet
marketer who wants to start their business.

2. Learn from my Mistakes!

Have you ever told your kids "Do what I say not what I do"?
I have done that more than once and am finding myself
want to tell you that now.

It is extremely important to provide your subscribers
with good content. I have let some of the latest product
launches get in the way of sending you good content.

I apologize! Do as I say, not what I do! :o)

To help me stay focused on you and providing you content
I am going to start using this newsletter format.

The information in this newsletter will be short and to the point
but will be useful to your business. Since my readers are all
at different places with their business the content may differ
in how you apply it to our business.

This content will also be put online later and I will let you
know when it is available online.

A newsletter should have, at a minimum:
* Table of Contents (look at the top for the short TOC)
* Content in short, easily consumed bites
* Tips which can be applied immediately

There is a huge debate between whether to provide a text
newsletter or a pretty HTML one. I have bridged that gap by
providing a text version for your email and an HTML version
online.

If you don't have a newsletter for your business, think about
starting one today.

3. Quick Tips
Want Cheap Traffic?

One of the cheaper, but more effective ways to drive traffic is
through eBay classifieds. With the right title and description
you can drive targeted visitors to your website.

QUICK   TIP
Domain Name

Not matter what you business you need your own domain name
for your website. This is a $10-15 investment that is critical
to your business.

NOTE: I cover how/where to pick a domain name in
